A mother of two cubs climbing a tree to catch the Pacific crab apple fruit and a small cake. In recent years the number of salmon when they fall down, you have to find other foods such as berries, roots of lupine, and mussels.

The Kermode bear (Ursus americanus kermodei), also known as "Spirit of the Bear" (especially the native tribes of Alaska) is a subspecies of American black bear living in central and north coast of British Columbia, Canada. It is characterized by a tenth of its population white or cream-colored blouses. The color morph is due to a recessive allele frequency in the population. They are not albinos and not related to the polar bear or the "blonde" brown bear "ABC islands" of Alaska, like other members of their species.

National Geographic estimates spirit bear population of 400-1000 people and said that "spirit wear may have to survive the protection of First Nations traditions that have never hunted animals or talked to trappers.
